Martin Scorsese's Shine a Light Trailer

Mini-flurry of Rolling Stones happenings today: First, there's news that London-based 7Digital will be the first online outlet to offer the entire Stones catalogue in DRM-free format [www.reuters.com], and in a sweet spot of synchronicity, Scorsese's "Shine A Light" trailer popped up online, too. No "No Direction Home", this one focuses instead on recent concert footage from two nights at the Beacon (10/29 and 11/1 of last year) and lots of Marty face time. The doc's live cuts are interspersed with archival Stones footage, a high celeb quotient (Christina Aguilera dances! Jack White sings "Loving Cup"! Bill Clinton smiles!), and an equally high, questionably authentic drama factor (apparently based on Martin Marcantonio Luciano Scorsese's filming logistics). Looks like they scrapped the initial September release date, opting instead for April '08, which oughta give Marty plenty of time to scan the footage for more famous faces.
