Feist Wins Shortlist Music Prize For The Reminder

We'd say this is a nice cap off to Leslie's big year, but does anybody really care about the Shortlist? The Reminder did beat the likes of Kala, Sound Of Silver, †, Neon Bible, and Burial's Untrue for the award, but the panel did include Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody and Ronnie of the Killers, and Hunnypot. Consider yourself honored, Ms. Feist.
She's only the second female artist to win the honor, following up Cat Power's coronation last year. Maybe that's why they were sharing a laugh [stereogum.com].
